Karen and Mason's Elopement

I've known Mason for years. If you know Mason Davis, you know that he's a lot of things — bold, passionate, intelligent, intense. But more than any of his exceedingly strong characteristics, Mason is...just Mason. The consummate individual.

If anyone else in the world called me and told me they were going to elope, I'd have been pretty surprised. When Mason called, I didn't even think twice.

And then there's Karen. My experiences with her have been much more limited — but even in a short time, I learned very, very quickly why Mason just couldn't wait to make her his wife. She's stunningly beautiful, both inside and out. And her love for Mason, Jay and their beautiful baby girl, Ava is pure, true and radiant.

Weddings are supposed to be an outward display of love. A celebration of the joining of two families. An unforgettable series of moments for two people to cherish for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, sometimes, they're none of those things. In our consumerist, maximalist society, weddings are too often more of a headache than a celebration.

Karen and Mason's elopement wedding was everything that a wedding day is supposed to be about. And it was such a pleasure to get to be a part of it.
