Emily and Travis are Married. And it is beautiful.
It's not every day that I get to go back home and do what I do for a living. If you didn't know, I'm from WAY western Nebraska. Scottsbluff to be precise.
I also very rarely get the chance to take photographs of my family members. Partially because we seem to have managed to locate ourselves fairly far apart. And partially because they're not very photogenic. That's a lie. They're hawt. All of em.
On a serious note, getting to spend this very special day with my cousin Emily and her new husband Travis was more of an honor than I can really express with words. Emily and her brother Michael are essentially two extra siblings for me and Nate. We grew up like two blocks away from each other and equally close in age proximity. Needless to say, we all grew very close — though I think Nate and Michael may have nearly murdered one another at several points.
Emily, you have grown into an amazing mother, friend and, on this day, a beautiful bride. Emily, thank you so much for asking me to be with you on this day. I cannot wait to see your little family grow (literally and metaphorically) and learn to love one another more and more every single day.
Travis, you are more than I ever could have hoped for when it comes to a partner for a woman that I look at as a sister. You're strong, patient, hard working, kind and charming. You treat Ady like the little princess she is. And most importantly, you love Emily with every fiber of your being. I've known that since the day I met you. And that's really all any of us wanted.
I love you both dearly. I can't wait to see you again soon.
